My new fav brewery

Brewery Ommegan

They are sponsering a cx race which has a course that runs THROUGH the beer tent. What more could one want from a belgian style brewer? Or a race for that matter?

We had the Rare Vos last night — sublime. Named after a bar in Brussels famous for being the start of bike and pigeon races. Wow, why didn’t I know about these guys before?

Review, Repackage and Resubsume

I should mention btw, that the video show was very reminiscent of that noise guitarist that opened for Stars of the Lid this year in Chi-Town and the lights were a damn near carbon copy of early spiritualized live stuff…but damn damn fine night!

Hey all T. brings us this…
Better stuff here (clearing house thingy)…note that the second says:

I was somewhat distracted during the song by a cute blonde who was wearing pigtails and dancing like no one was watching (don’t tell her I was).

Here’s a dandy!

Lance spelunks in the pain cave

Lance raced Cross Vegas

Money quote: “Armstrong, after a strong start, faded as the laps wore on and finished outside the top 20.”

Ah, the alka-selzter approach, very wise of Mr. Armstrong.

Its fun having an American Philosopher on TV!

A policy recommendation from the Economic Policy Institute that makes good sense. I’d forward it to everyone you vote for ASAP.

4 Loud…setlist?

Filed under: Music — groenefee @ 10:52 am

so two tidbits for the weekend:

NOTE door at 6:30!!!

Bring ear plugs if you’re so inclined:

A week later they played the Roundhouse[34]. John Moore reviewed the concert in his Blog where the comments unanimously agreed that it was the loudest live concert they ever heard. One visitor comments he saw a 130 dB volume on the mixing desk, another visitor comments he saw 132 dB at one moment, both louder than the Loudest band in the world record before the Guinness Book of World Records discontinued the category.

Setlist from earlier this summer:

I Only Said
When You Sleep
When You Wake
You Never Should
Lose my Breath
Come in Alone
Only Shallow
Nothing Much to Lose
To Here Knows When
Blown a Wish
Feed Me With Your Kiss
You Made Me Realise

Quickly because I’m heading out the door to ride:

1. My report is up. There are also some of the pics up on my flickr account (check the front page) but it seems flickr has changed their non-pro rules to something asinine. I’ll put the whole set up on qgd3 later on this morning.

2. One of my fav cx blogs claims to have inside info that lance will be racing cross vegas tomorrow. He’s usually right. Oh jeeze, really?
