At long, long last: a set of Vittorias are stretching on the rims. Glue up will be tomorrow early am in place of the morning ride. Tomorrow is a rest day for 30 on sat and my first VC group lead (the Slow Group) on Sunday for 70. Unofficial plans are for a post-70 breakway for beers in Wicker Park and an even 100. All day in the saddle on new tire tech, new gears tech and gossamer wheels! Yay!
Went through blackbird row this morning sans RP and no attacks. Must be the pink. I don’t blame ‘em: it scared me at first too.

You have not lived until you’ve cut open a sew-up, spliced in a presta valve scrounged from a spare tube, sewed the whole thing up with dental floss and then gone for a high-speed jaunt with one unglued tire on a total of 500g of rim weight. The bike has turbo.
Awesome seeing y’all as well, and looking forward to heading back up. Cupcake is awaiting rear der adjustment (tonight). For fun, I am gonna pull the rear tire and try to patch it. Turns out that those contis were highly regarded and they have very little wear. Lance and some other people with lots of $ apparently go out of their way for well-aged tubs. 
Looks like it could be a perfect storm for Slipstream. They’re trained up and Dan Martin just finished an impressive win at Route de Sud. I dunno about this Garmin thing. I’m happy to go eat Le Burrito from Chipotle for em, but Garmin looks like a casualty of the new iphone.
