cause crashing inside is at least not boring
$40 from a SRAM rep off of CL. I rode until I was moderately comfy on em tonight with no/low resistance. Tomorrow it’s all about 1:15 of LV2 roller-boogaloo. No more traffic jams on the trainer!

FTP training > LSD
Another good read which supports the idea that if you want to ride strongly for long distances, you should prepare by going hard for shorter distances.
My (anecdotal, of course) experience strongly supports this even for ultra distances: My first 100 I topped out at 60 miles a week (11 hours) all done at LSDish pace. My second one, I topped out at ~30 miles a week (7 hours) but my pace was basically FTP level — I was training for a fast marathon. #2 was 2.5 hours faster and my recovery time was way way less (and I bitched much less as well).

To stop or not to stop
I like this article mostly because it makes me think of trying to decide whether or not to stop on a nice spring day, maybe 60 degrees, bright sun shining, 80 miles in the can…
Stop signs, right. Yeah, so if they make em yield signs that is going to reduce driver anger? Not likely. Then they’ll be ticked that we’re over privileged (which is basically the same root thing which makes someone angry that bikers are scofflaws)
