FWIW, the randos on bikeforums seem to approve of that selle italia (flite model in “team” dress). The wheelset, contrary to it’s looks, is supposed to be campy’s bombproof road training set. Veloce gruppo = centaur but heavier and not as much suck.
I suppose I ought not to dink with the saddle since the b-17 has not yet given me anything to complain about really. Oh shit, that is the argument I need to avoid.
moment of weakness has passed. 1k buys a year of rando and a whole lotta cliff bars. I need to get a set of brakes on cupcake and a fresh white cinelli wrap pronto — the power of not wanting to tear into a fresh tape wrap would help in moments of doubt like this.
